Michael Kunz is Managing Director at Kunz+Company. He has extensive experience advising corporations and private equity clients in the insurance, banking, and consumer goods sectors on strategic topics, M&A, and investments. He specializes in performance improvement and value creation strategies.
Michael has over 12 years of experience and previously worked as a consultant at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants in Zurich and at PricewaterhouseCoopers Deals Advisory in New York and Zurich.
He holds a dual Master’s degree in Accounting & Finance and International Management (CEMS), as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen.

Dr. Carsten Ebel Principal
Carsten Ebel is a Principal at Kunz+Company. He brings extensive experience advising corporate and private equity clients in the insurance, financial services, and real estate sectors on strategic issues, operational excellence, and value creation. He specializes in performance enhancement through digital transformation, customer-centric strategies, and operational optimization.
Carsten has more than 20 years of experience. He served as a consultant and executive at Bain & Company, where he led projects focused on technology and performance improvement for clients in financial services, services, and mining. Additionally, he held leadership roles at ERGO Group, ExpressGroup, Solarisbank, and GHD GesundHeits GmbH, where he managed large teams and implemented innovative solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Carsten holds a Ph.D. and an MBA from the University of St. Gallen, as well as an M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Applied Sciences in Wolfenbüttel. He also holds professional certifications including PMP, ITIL v4, Six Sigma Belt, and DIN EN ISO/IEC 17024 personnel certifications in real estate valuation and building damage assessment.
